Create Christ-centered Family Community Groups

This is the goal of every Bettertogether group and the family group Bible studies we develop.  Learn what Bettertogether groups are all about, what’s involved in starting one and how to facilitate it with our collections of lessons and activity plans. Bettertogether Family Bible Studies grew out of my own family’s need to be in community with other Christian believers. Several years ago my husband and I recognized that what we said we valued most in life – faith, family and fellowship – did not align with our daily activities.

Did You Know?

  • Sunday morning is the most segregated hour of Christian America
  • Young people imitate religious faith of adults who love them
  • Religiously active families have stronger family relationships
  • Average teen spends more time on the Internet than in the Word
  • 3 out of 5 youth disconnect from church after age 15

While we understood the necessity of spending quality time with our kids, we shuttled them to and from activities only to watch from the sidelines. Furthermore, our children and friends were walking toward eternity and we were ignorant of their journey. We longed to connect intimately with our kids, our kid’s friends, and their parents. We desired to expand our children’s healthy circle of influence built on Christian principles. Michael and I found that traditional Bible study curriculums are written for either youth or adults.

Bettertogether curriculum is unique in that the first half of each lesson is designed for entire group study while the remainder focuses on individual family study. Each lesson is supported by Biblical references, an applicable movie clip, and an action-packed object lesson.
